The Indian Welfare Association, more crisply known as IWA among its members, is a voluntary organisation based in a lovely seaside city called Sunderland, in the North East of England. It was formed in 2005, primarily to create a platform for Asian British people of Indian origin and Indian citizens in Sunderland to come together and connect to network their way around.
In today’s world, co-existing within a multi-cultural, multi-faith and multi-lingual society is of utmost importance. And equally important in that environment, is the role of a well-structured family. As an Association, IWA understands the role-play the next generation will have and hence promotes a strong human value-based approach in all its activities. It has its roots firm in Indian traditions. But it adapts to ever changing global perspectives with an aim to share and care, supported by good values that benefit both the individual and society.
Harmony is a state of mind. It only comes to life when the boundaries are taken away.
